Set in the serene forests of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug in the Netherlands, this three-day retreat invites you to Emerge, Embrace, Embody, and Engage. Through embodiment practices, somatic movement, mindfulness, reflection, and sharing, you’ll experience what it means to lead with authenticity and compassion.

 

Supported by a somatic movement guide, a leadership coach, and a wellbeing coach, you’ll join a diverse community of women ready to inspire and be inspired. Your Guides

The Location

In the beautiful Utrechtse Heuvelrug, nestled in nature, surrounded by forest and within walking distance from the stunning Henschotermeer, we have chosen Grounded Roots as our space to meet and connect. 

Indoors, there are two bedrooms with two single beds, beautifully designed for calmness and rest. There are also three tipi tents in the garden for two persons, fully equipped with electricity and two comfortable single beds, for an experience closer to nature.  

The beautiful living space and dining area promotes connection and sparks conversation. The pool, sauna and ice bath creates a relaxing oasis in between sessions.

The Practices

Through embodiment practices, somatic movement, mindfulness, reflection, sharing and learning, you’ll be guided to experience what it means to lead with authenticity and compassion, supported by a community of women. You do not need to have any previous experience in any of the practices, only curiousity. 

Somatic Movement

The human body is inherently designed to move and respond to the rhythm of life. Somatic Movement invites us to attune to the body's internal experience, exploring its sensations and feelings. This practice combines guided movement, touch, and mindful awareness to explore how the body organizes itself in relation to the mind and the world around it. As a therapeutic approach, Somatic Movement encourages individuals to discover their body’s unique expression and voice. It helps reconnect us with ourselves, uncovering unconscious patterns and tensions, and offering a powerful pathway to return to our bodies wisdom and reclaim our innate power. 

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is the practice of bringing your full attention to the present moment with curiosity and without judgment. In a world filled with distractions and demands, mindfulness helps quiet the mind and create space for clarity and calm. By cultivating awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations, you build a deeper connection to yourself and your surroundings. This practice strengthens your ability to respond to life’s challenges with intention rather than reactivity, fostering greater resilience and balance in both personal and leadership journeys.

Group Coaching

Throughout the retreat, we will come together as a group to reflect and share on the various topics, fostering connection and mutual support. In addition to group discussions, there will be space for individual, creative reflection, where you can explore your thoughts and emotions through journaling, art, and other reflective practices. This balance of shared insights and personal expression offers a well-rounded approach to self-discovery and growth, allowing you to deepen your understanding and cultivate your leadership from within.
